The Venue, Hyundai’s contribution to the subcompact SUV segment, gives city drivers the convenience of a small footprint, balanced with the practicality of a fairly roomy hatchback. The nameplate enters the 2026 model year with a streamlined lineup after the discontinuation of the top-end Limited trim. To make up for the loss, Hyundai has outfitted the former mid-grade SEL with coveted amenities like wireless smartphone charging, heated front seats, and heated side-view mirrors, all of which were found in the departed Limited. The SEL is also now available with a two-tone exterior, sporting either a white or black roof and side-view mirrors. The new SEL w/ 2-Tone Roof also gets an upholstery upgrade from all cloth to a mix of H-Tex leatherette and cloth. Changes aside, the Venue still provides 39.4 inches of headroom, a potential 31.9 cubic feet of storage space (18.7 at full occupancy), and 6.69 inches of ground clearance, despite only measuring 159.1 inches in length and 69.7 inches wide. Available 17-inch wheels and Snow Mode add to the model’s versatility, and Hyundai’s SmartSense driver-assistance suite contributes to the safety factor.
