TUCSON
In a segment full of strong competitors like the RAV4, CR-V, and Rogue, how does the Tucson remain a top pick among compact crossover drivers? It’s not much of a mystery why it’s Hyundai’s best-selling vehicle. Automotive critics praise the Tucson generation for its ride quality and upscale interior, but consumers will likely point out the generous amount of cargo space when the seats are folded flat, the ample legroom in the second row, and the huge list of standard features even on the base version. And we can’t neglect to mention America’s Best Warranty, consisting of a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty, a 7-year/unlimited-mile anti-perforation (rust) warranty, and 5 years/unlimited miles of 24-hour roadside assistance.
The 2025 Tucson has been refreshed for the new model year with updated wheel designs, restyled front and rear bumpers, a new-look grille, redesigned daytime running lights, and an exterior surface that the automaker has described as “kinetic and jewel-like.” All trim levels now come with an expansive 12.3-inch color touchscreen, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, proximity key entry with push-button start, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates. Also, Hyundai has repositioned its wireless device charging pad to better serve the driver. In terms of new features, the ‘25 Tucson has an available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-inch head-up display with premium graphics, and a My Drive setting within the drive mode select system to customize the ride according to changing situations.

There are five 2025 Tucson trim packages: SE, SEL, SEL Convenience, XRT, and Limited. Under the hood of all is a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission (paddle shifters are standard on the Limited); the output is 187 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. Each grade has a towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds (trailer brakes are required) and comes with trailer pre-wiring, while the XRT adds a tow hitch. The entire lineup comes with front-wheel drive (FWD), but HTRAC all-wheel drive is optional. A drive mode select system is also standard to allow drivers choose among Normal, Sport, My Drive, and Snow (AWD) settings. The ‘25 Tucson achieves an EPA-estimated 25 mpg city/33 mpg highway with FWD and 24 mpg city/30 mpg highway with AWD.
