2025 Hyundai Elantra
2025 Hyundai
ELANTRA
Over the past three decades, the compact Elantra sedan has helped Hyundai burnish its reputation as a world-class automaker that builds what consumers want. Last year’s Elantra refresh also reinforced that the company is able to produce cars with head-turning designs. For 2025, Hyundai continues the successful Elantra formula: two rows packed with value, style, and comfort. In addition, the trim lineup has been expanded with the mid-tier SEL Convenience, which slots above the SEL Sport (previously badged as the SEL).
Hyundai still provides America's Best Warranty with all models, featuring five-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper coverage and ten-year/100,000-mile powertrain protection. The package also includes three years of complimentary scheduled standard maintenance and five years of roadside assistance. This overview focuses on the standard gas-only 2025 Elantra. The Elantra Hybrid and performance-oriented Elantra N are detailed separately.

Hyundai sells the front-wheel-drive 2025 Elantra in five grades: SE, SEL Sport, SEL Convenience, Limited, and N Line. Most trims have a 147-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The N Line is the exception, getting a turbocharged 201-horsepower 1.6-liter four-cylinder connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The SE trim is the lineup’s fuel economy champion with an EPA rating of 32 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. The mileage estimates change to 30 city/39 highway for the SEL Sport, SEL Convenience, and Limited. The higher-hp N Line comes in slightly lower, returning 28 mpg around town and 35 mpg on the open road.
Standard Features
Every 2025 Elantra SE leaves the factory with fabric upholstery, dual LED projector-style headlights with automatic on/off, manual air conditioning, a 4.2-inch drive information display, remote keyless entry, a six-way manually adjustable driver's seat with height control, a tilt and telescopic steering column, cruise control, four USB ports (two per row), and 15-inch alloy wheels. The SEL Sport gets even more attractive with dual-zone automatic temperature control, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, a hands-free trunk release, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum sport pedals, a black headliner, sun visors with extensions and illuminated vanity mirrors, wireless device charging, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Hyundai gives the SEL Convenience more premium equipment, including a power sunroof, heated front seats, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 60/40-split folding rear seats, heated side mirrors, and an electronic parking brake.
The Limited takes the 2025 Elantra further upscale with H-Tex leatherette upholstery, a power driver's seat with lumbar controls, heated side mirrors with integrated turn indicators, LED/bulb combination taillights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Digital Key, and adjustable ambient cabin lighting. The N Line combines the athletic looks of the SEL Sport and many of the convenience features found in the Limited. Other standard N Line amenities are its multi-link rear suspension, larger (12-inch) front brake rotors, leatherette and fabric upholstery, exclusive exterior treatments, chrome-tipped exhaust outlets, full LED taillights, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology
Hyundai SmartSense is installed in all 2025 Elantras. The included technologies are forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, driver attention warning, safe exit warning, and automatic high beams. The SEL Convenience and Limited receive upgraded forward collision-avoidance assist (that adds cyclist and junction turning detection) and adaptive cruise control. Highway Driving Assist (semi-autonomous driving support) is exclusive to the Limited.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The SE and SEL Sport have an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while the higher trims upgrade to a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included across the board, with wireless connection on trims equipped with the 8-inch screen. Bluetooth is standard as well. A six-speaker audio system is found on the lower trims, with an eight-speaker Bose unit reserved for the Limited and N Line. The SEL Convenience and higher add SiriusXM satellite radio and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluelink+ connected services.
