You’ll have a choice of two trims with the ’24 Elantra Hybrid: Blue and Limited. Their powertrain consists of a four-cylinder gasoline engine accompanied by an electric motor that produce a combined output of 139 hp. A six-speed automatic transmission feeds power to the front-wheel drivetrain. According to official EPA reports, the Blue achieves an estimated 51 mpg in the city and 58 mpg on the highway, while the Limited gets 49 city/52 highway.
The well-outfitted Blue is equipped more generously than most base trims you’ll find. Its highlights are proximity keyless entry, heated side mirrors with turn-signal indicators, a hands-free trunk, push-button start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and dual-zone automatic climate control. It also gets cloth upholstery, manually adjustable seats, a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, a pair of USB-C charging ports, and LED headlights and daytime running lights. The Limited raises the bar with heated and ventilated front seats (power adjustable), a sunroof, Digital Key, wireless phone charging, H-Tex leatherette upholstery, position memory settings (for the side mirrors and driver’s seat), a 60/40-split folding rear seatback, and LED taillights.
Hyundai SmartSense, the company’s proprietary array of advanced safety technologies, is standard in the ’24 Elantra Hybrid. Its contents include blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, intelligent speed limit assist, lane following assist, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning, safe exit assist, and rear occupant alert. The Limited loads up with even more safety tech: front and rear parking sensors, an enhanced forward collision system with cyclist and junction turning detection, and adaptive cruise control with highway driving assist.
The Blue’s multimedia system is housed within a 10.25-inch touchscreen featuring navigation, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth (for hands-free phone use and audio streaming), SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, Wi-Fi hotspot access, and a basic sound system with six speakers. Upgrades to the Limited include a top-rated Bose audio system and dynamic voice recognition. Access to Bluelink connected car services comes with both trims.
