New Hyundai 2022 Hyundai Tucson PHEV for Sale in Hyannis, MA
Trims and Specs
Tucson PHEV buyers can choose between the SEL and the Limited. They get their pep from a tag-teaming turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and 66.9-kW electric motor with a combined output of 261 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. The six-speed automatic transmission and HTRAC all-wheel-drive system are both standard issue. It takes less than two hours to recharge the 13.8-kWh battery using a 240V outlet. The EPA’s official fuel economy rating says that the Tucson PHEV can run for 33 miles solely on electric power, and its MPGe rating is 80. It also has a combined (city with highway driving) rating of 35 miles per gallon.
The SEL gets heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, auto on/off LED headlights, heated exterior mirrors with integrated turn-signal indicators, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar control, tilt wheel, Hyundai’s Proximity Key, stain-resistant cloth seats, 19-inch alloy wheels, noise-reducing and solar-controlling glass on the windshield and front side mirrors, and rear privacy glass. The 60/40-split rear seat folds down to create more room for larger cargo. The Limited is even more attractive with its leather seats (heated and ventilated in the front row and heated in the back row), heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, panoramic moonroof, rain-sensing wipers, hands-free power liftgate, projector-style headlights (also LED), upgraded front and rear fascias, eight-way power front passenger seat, and LED interior lighting.
Advanced Safety Technologies
Hyundai stocks the Tucson PHEV with ample advanced driver aid technology. The SEL, for instance, gets rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, driver attention warning, lane following assist, lane-keeping assist, rear occupant alert, and safe exit warning. The Limited gets even more: smart cruise control, reverse parking collision-avoidance assist, parking distance warning, a surround-view monitor, blind-spot view monitor, highway driving assist, ultrasonic rear occupant alert, and Remote Smart Park Assist.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The SEL’s infotainment setup starts with an 8-inch touchscreen, which controls the smartphone integration (wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), Bluetooth (for hands-free phone and audio streaming), and SiriusXM satellite radio. Buyers also get two USB ports per row and 3 years of BlueLink telematics service for vehicle diagnostics and help during emergencies. The Limited moves up to a 10.25-inch touchscreen with dynamic voice recognition as an alternative control method. It also gets navigation, a deluxe Bose audio system, and wireless smartphone charging. Because this larger screen isn’t compatible with wireless smartphone integration, that reverts to the conventional plug-in variety.
