2021 Hyundai Veloster N for Sale in Hyannis, MA
Overview
The 2021 Hyundai Veloster N has been made with the adrenaline-seeking yet budget-conscious driving enthusiast in mind. This agile and high-output version of the Veloster hatchback was designed at Hyundai’s R&D facility in Namyang, South Korea, and was later tested on the Germany’s famed Nürburgring race track. In fact, Namyang and Nürburgring are the dual reason for the Veloster’s “N” classification.
For model year ‘21, the Veloster N now has a brand-new available eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and newly designed lightweight front sport seats provide optimal stability and support around the curves – and catch the eye with their illuminated “N” badging. The features from the previous model year’s optional Performance Package are now standard as well. And, like every other Hyundai model, the ’21 Veloster N comes with the automaker’s leading warranties, including 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain coverage, plus a 3-year/36,000-mile complimentary maintenance plan, which covers oil and filter changes, multipoint inspections, and tire rotations.
Powertrain and Performance Highlights
The front-wheel-drive 2021 Veloster N is offered in a single trim level. It’s mechanized by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a standard six-speed manual transmission with rev matching; the aforementioned eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters is optional. Fuel economy numbers as determined by the EPA are as follows: the manual-shift Veloster N gets 22 miles per gallon around town and 28 mpg on the highway, and with the dual-clutch tranny it gets 20 mpg city/27 mpg highway.
The Veloster N looks the part with its racy red exterior accents, and it has some excellent performance-enhancing attributes as well, such as an electronic limited-slip differential (N Corner Carving Differential), an electronically controlled suspension, and high-performance brakes. It even has three customizable drive modes: Normal, Sport, and Sport+. You can calibrate each of the seven chassis and powertrains settings through them, or go all-out on everything by simply pressing the N-mode button located on the steering wheel.
Standard Amenities
The ‘21 Veloster N is well stocked with desirable standard features. On the outside, it gets 19-inch alloy wheels with road-gripping Pirelli P Zero performance tires, heated side mirrors with turn-signal indicators, automatic LED headlights, keyless entry, a rear underbody diffuser, and a rear spoiler mounted at the top of the liftgate. Inside, it has lightweight N-branded sport seats, alloy sport pedals, automatic climate control, push-button ignition, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a rearview camera, and a 60/40 split fold-down rear seatback that enhances the practicality of the hatchback cargo area. The highlights of the infotainment system include an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming capability, a premium eight-speaker Infinity audio system, Blue Link Connected Car services, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and HD radio.
Technology and Safety
While most track-inspired vehicles minimize the inclusion of automated driver aids, Hyundai has set up the ‘21 Veloster N with an assortment of these important active safety technologies through the SmartSense system. All trims get forward collision-avoidance assist, high-beam assist, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning, blind-spot collision warning, and rear cross-traffic collision warning.
